大掃除 / Cleaning up

家探しを始めたのは2020年7月、夏真っ盛りでしたが、契約できたのは11月の終わりで冬が近づく頃でした。
契約締結後、私たちがまずやったのは、家の大掃除でした。12月の寒い中、毎週末通い、一部屋ずつ掃除しました。
和室の客間には木で精巧に作られた神棚があり、それも掃除するためにおろしました。

When we started house hunting, it was July 2020, mid summer. In the end of November, the time when winter is coming close, we finally signed up the contract.
What we have done first was cleaning up the house. Although it was really cold, we visited every weekend and washed up each room in order.

There was a household Shinto altar in the Japanese style drawing room, and we took it down to clean it. Although it can be looked like a doll house, it was well made of wood. We put Sakaki tree according to tradition.
