夏支度 / Summer Preparation

夏を迎えるにあたり、いくつか家の中を夏仕様にしました。
まず、庭仕事をすると暑くて、よくシャワーを浴びるようになりましたが、洗面所の入口のドアを閉めると暑いので、暖簾を付けました。
それから、やっぱり風鈴の音を聞くと涼しげな気になるかなと思い、風鈴を買いました。
最後に、和室の窓に簾をかけました！もともとはレースカーテンがついていたのですが、和室と合わないように思い気になっていたので変えました。
素敵になったなーって、夫とニヤニヤして喜んでいます。

As summer is coming, we have made some of our homes specifications.
First, we hanged a Japanese fabric curtain called Noren at the entrance of the washroom. We took a shower after working in the garden more often in summer, and there is a door at the entrance, but it is too hot to stay there if we close the door. Noren is very useful that can pass the wind but block the eyes.
Then we bought wind chimes, it would be cool to hear the sound of them.
Lastly, we put a bamboo blind on the window of the Japanese-style room. Originally it had a lace curtain, but we didn’t like it as we thought it would not fit in the Japanese-style room.
Now we are very pleased that our house is getting cool.
