土固い!!! Too solidified to cultivate

土は何とか少し平らになりましたが、固すぎて耕せないことがわかりました。
落胆して、ホンダやクボタのミニ耕運機を買うことを検討し始めました。（HPの動画ではすごく簡単に耕していて、あれができるなら買う価値があるかなと…）

そこで、ご近所に住んでいる、物件の元所有者の親戚の方に相談してみました。
すると、私たちの土は未だ固すぎて、ミニ耕運機ではとても耕せず、トラクターが要るとのことでした。
トラクターは、、、高過ぎます。ご近所の方々と比べて私たちの土地は小さいものですし、今はまだ週に１－２日しか農業に時間を割けません。こんな私たちには、トラクターはどう考えても過剰でした。

私たちが落ち込んでいたので、ありがたいことに、自分のトラクターで耕してあげようかと言って下さりました！！！
嬉しくて、ぜひお願いしますと言うやいなや、すぐにトラクターを取りに行って耕して下さりました。
トラクターを動かしているのを近くで見たのは初めてでしたが、とてもパワフルで速く、向きを変えたりなどすごく上手に運転されていました。
ほんの10分ほどで耕すのは終わり、土は砕かれて柔らかくなっていました。

本当にものすごく助かりました。助けて頂いていなかったら、永遠に耕していたかもしれません。。。ありがとうございました！！！

Although the soil has flattened a little, it was too solidified to cultivate. We were so discouraged and thinking to purchase a small cultivator such as Honda’s or Kubota’s, as it seemed very easy to plow when I saw them on their websites. If it’s true, it’s worth buying.

Then, we asked the neighbor who is a relative of the former owner if he thinks it’s a good idea or not. He says, actually it’s not a good idea because our soil is still too solidified and cannot be plowed with a small cultivator, but with a big tractor….

We can’t afford a big one. Comparing with our neighbors, we just have a small land and have time for farming just a day or two days in a week. For us like this, it is obvious that a big tractor is too much.

As we were being let down, he offered that he would cultivate our soils with his tractor. How kind he is!!!!
As soon as we said please, he went back and came again with his tractor. It was first time for me to see driving a tractor so closely. It was powerful and quick, and he drove it very well. It took only about 10 minutes, and the soil became soft.
We really appreciated it. We would have taken forever to do this without his support.
